Chaperones
When you are seeing the doctor or nurse you may be offered a chaperone for certain examinations. This is in line with national guidance to support and protect us all, and all our staff have been fully trained in this role. Any patient can request a chaperone; it will not affect their treatment. A doctor or nurse may request a chaperone but will always discuss this with you and you may, of course, refuse. If you would like to discuss the role of chaperones, please ask the doctor or nurse.
