Repeat Prescriptions
Prescriptions for medicines taken regularly can often be obtained without seeing the doctor as long as the doctor has agreed to this in advance. However, your illness will need to be monitored at least annually.
You can request your repeat prescription by:
- Bringing in or posting your prescription list
- Online with SystmOnline
- Via the NHS App

Medication Reviews
Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see a doctor, nurse practitioner or practice nurse at least once a year to review these regular medications and notification should appear on your repeat slip. Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.
